ViaBTC Partners With Mempool on BTC Acceleration

ViaBTC has partnered with Mempool to expand access to Bitcoin transaction acceleration services, extending the mining pool’s block-construction infrastructure into additional Bitcoin ecosystem channels. The collaboration will allow eligible BTC transactions to be prioritized for faster confirmation through ViaBTC’s mining infrastructure, particularly when congestion or low transaction fees leave transfers pending for extended periods.

According to ViaBTC’s official September 16 announcement, the partnership combines ViaBTC’s mining-pool operations, block construction and transaction-processing capabilities with Mempool as an additional access channel. ViaBTC said the arrangement does not change how existing users access its Transaction Accelerator through the company’s website or mobile app.

ViaBTC Extends Its Transaction Accelerator

Bitcoin miners generally select transactions for blocks partly according to the fees attached to them, meaning lower-fee transactions can remain pending when demand for block space rises. ViaBTC’s accelerator gives qualifying transactions priority for inclusion in blocks produced by ViaBTC or, for certain paid requests, cooperating mining pools. The company offers both free and paid acceleration services, although confirmation timing still depends on when participating pools successfully mine blocks.

ViaBTC launched its transaction accelerator in 2016 and has continued expanding the infrastructure behind it. The company says it has accelerated more than 800,000 Bitcoin transactions as of September 16, 2026, giving the new partnership an established service rather than introducing a transaction-prioritization product from scratch. Commercial terms and detailed technical integration arrangements with Mempool were not disclosed.

The model does not bypass Bitcoin’s consensus process or guarantee that a transaction will immediately enter the blockchain. Acceleration instead influences transaction selection by mining pools capable of constructing the next block, giving eligible transfers a better chance of confirmation than they might receive solely from their original fee rate. ViaBTC’s documentation explicitly notes that block-production timing cannot be predicted.

Mining Pools Expand Infrastructure Services

The partnership illustrates how mining pools can provide services beyond distributing block rewards to miners. Control over block-template construction gives pools a direct role in transaction prioritization, allowing infrastructure such as accelerators to address latency when the Bitcoin fee market becomes congested. ViaBTC said it plans to pursue additional collaborations with wallets, block explorers and other Bitcoin infrastructure providers.

That expansion is occurring alongside other changes to mining infrastructure, including broader adoption of Stratum V2 aimed at improving communication, security and miner participation in block construction. Both developments reflect increasing attention to the infrastructure connecting miners, pools and Bitcoin users, although transaction acceleration and Stratum V2 address different parts of the mining stack.

ViaBTC founder and CEO Haipo Yang said the company remains focused on the security, stability and efficiency of its mining-pool operations as it extends those capabilities into additional services. The next measurable development will be whether the Mempool integration materially increases usage of ViaBTC’s acceleration infrastructure, since the announcement does not provide transaction-volume targets, rollout metrics or independent performance benchmarks for the new access route.
