WisdomTree Tokenized Assets Reach $1.26 Billion

WisdomTree’s tokenized fund ecosystem has expanded to $1.26 billion in assets, extending a sharp increase from approximately $770 million at the beginning of 2026. The asset manager introduced WisdomTree Onchain as the umbrella for its tokenized funds, blockchain infrastructure and investor platforms, bringing together products previously distributed across different parts of its digital-asset business. The company’s official announcement initially reported more than $1.2 billion in tokenized assets, while its current platform places the figure at $1.26 billion as of October 1.

The platform now includes 15 SEC-registered funds spanning money markets, equities, fixed income, asset allocation and alternative strategies. Those products are available across Ethereum, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Optimism, Plume, Solana and Stellar. WisdomTree is pursuing a multichain distribution model rather than concentrating its tokenized products on a single ledger, giving eligible users multiple blockchain environments through which to interact with fund shares.

WTGXX Brings Dealer Liquidity Around the Clock

The WisdomTree Treasury Money Market Digital Fund, or WTGXX, sits at the center of that infrastructure strategy. Following exemptive relief issued by the SEC in February, WisdomTree Securities can buy and sell eligible fund shares as principal at $1 per share rather than using the fund’s next-calculated NAV for those secondary transactions. The structure creates a separate dealer-based liquidity layer around the registered money market fund, allowing trades to occur outside the fund’s normal primary subscription and redemption process.

Through WisdomTree Connect, investors can access WTGXX secondary liquidity 24/7, including nights and weekends, with near-instant onchain settlement against USDC. The service is subject to WisdomTree Securities’ available inventory, capital and market conditions. Around-the-clock liquidity therefore does not mean unlimited liquidity or continuous primary-market redemptions from WTGXX itself. The model instead relies on the broker-dealer maintaining inventory that can later be replenished through the fund’s conventional daily processes.

That distinction separates WisdomTree’s model from other attempts to bridge blockchain settlement with slower traditional assets. Similar infrastructure questions have emerged as Centrifuge introduced 24/7 USDC liquidity for tokenized credit funds and as JPMorgan expanded tokenized money-market infrastructure on Ethereum. The common objective is not simply putting fund exposure on a blockchain, but reducing the settlement and liquidity frictions surrounding traditional investment products.

There is another important legal distinction. WisdomTree says onchain transfers of its tokenized fund shares settle near-instantly, but WisdomTree Transfers maintains the official ownership record offchain and updates that registry after blockchain movements occur. The blockchain record therefore supports transfer and settlement workflows without replacing the fund’s formal transfer-agent registry as the definitive ownership record.

WisdomTree Expands Beyond Its Own Funds

WisdomTree Onchain also packages infrastructure intended for institutions and third-party issuers. WisdomTree Connect provides an API and portal through which qualified custodians, fintech companies and wallet providers can integrate onboarding, subscriptions, redemptions and reporting for tokenized funds. Its Onchain Transfer Agent service, meanwhile, is designed to help registered fund issuers issue and service blockchain-linked shares. WisdomTree is positioning itself not only as a tokenized asset manager, but also as infrastructure for other firms seeking to move regulated funds onto public blockchains.

That strategy is developing as competition across tokenized traditional assets intensifies. BlackRock’s BUIDL has reclaimed leadership in the tokenized Treasury segment, while projects such as the DTCC Treasury tokenization pilot on Canton illustrate how established market infrastructure providers are testing blockchain settlement models of their own. WisdomTree’s $1.26 billion milestone is consequently more significant as evidence of assets already sitting inside regulated tokenized funds than as proof that every supported chain or integration is seeing equivalent investor activity.

The company is now developing Onchain Markets, a dealer-principal platform intended to extend its current WTGXX liquidity model to other tokenized fund types, potentially including ETFs subject to further regulatory approvals. If that expansion proceeds, WisdomTree’s next phase will depend less on adding blockchain deployments and more on whether its infrastructure can generate sustained distribution, secondary liquidity and institutional usage across a broader range of regulated assets.
