Ragnarok Landverse Classic Opens SEA Pre-Registration

Ragnarok Landverse Classic Opens SEA Pre-Registration

Gravity Game Tech and Maxion have opened pre-registration for Ragnarok Online Landverse Classic, a new version of the long-running MMORPG designed around its earlier progression era and promoted within the Ronin ecosystem. According to Ronin’s official announcement, the Classic release returns to Episode 5.0 content and the Class 2-1 job era while combining manual and automated progression inside a shared server environment.

The current rollout is specifically aimed at Southeast Asia, where players can register through the official ROLC portal. North America and Latin America are not part of this Classic pre-registration campaign based on the currently published materials. Those regions are instead served by the separate Ragnarok Online Landverse America, which launched in December 2025 and remains active on Ronin. No launch date has yet been announced for the new Classic edition.

One Server Splits Manual and Auto Hunting

ROLC is structured around what its developers describe as “1 Server, 2 Channels.” Channel 1 is reserved for manual play, preserving the traditional grinding, hunting and character-progression loop associated with early Ragnarok Online, while Channel 2 enables Auto Hunting for automated leveling and item farming. Both channels remain part of the same broader server rather than separating players into independent economies or regional worlds.

The game uses Maxion’s Freya Engine, which the developers say can support more than 100,000 concurrent accounts on a single server. The same infrastructure is intended to accommodate large-scale PvP and War of Emperium guild battles while reducing disconnections and rollback issues. The 100,000 figure is a stated engine-capacity target, not evidence that ROLC already has 100,000 active players. Pre-registration rewards are separately tied to milestones of 10,000, 30,000, 50,000 and 100,000 sign-ups.

Cross-platform distribution is another central part of the rollout. ROLC is designed to run through web browsers across Windows PCs, Macs and smartphones, with the same account moving between devices and a dedicated touch interface available on mobile. That browser-first approach lowers the hardware and installation barrier for a traditional MMORPG format, resembling a broader shift toward lightweight Web3 game distribution also visible in projects such as OpenRealm’s browser-based MMO rollout.

Ronin Integration Remains Partially Defined

Ronin is actively promoting the title, and the ROLC registration site lists Ronin Wallet alongside Google as a login method. However, the available Classic materials do not yet disclose a token, NFT collection or detailed onchain ownership system specifically for ROLC. The site also lists the Landverse Trading Hub as “Coming Soon,” meaning the blockchain-economic layer should not yet be treated as fully operational simply because the game is associated with Ronin.

That distinction is particularly relevant because earlier Landverse editions have deeper blockchain functionality. Ragnarok Landverse: Genesis on Ronin includes a player-driven marketplace where rare cards, equipment and crafted items can exist as onchain assets. The Classic launch materials have not yet established equivalent mechanics. A Ronin login and network affiliation demonstrate infrastructure connectivity, but they do not by themselves prove that gameplay assets are already tokenized.

The rollout nevertheless adds another recognizable gaming property to a network historically associated with titles such as Axie Infinity. Ronin has continued expanding beyond its original flagship even as network activity around Axie has shown uneven user-growth signals. Across Web3 gaming more broadly, projects are increasingly separating the playable product from the blockchain layer, a distinction also visible when Crypto Smash launched its browser game alongside a separately verifiable token system. For Ragnarok Online Landverse Classic, the immediate confirmed milestone is SEA pre-registration and its cross-platform server architecture; the precise scope of its Ronin-based economy remains to be disclosed.
