Franklin Templeton said on June 2 that it has partnered with MoonPay to connect its Benji Technology Platform with MoonPay Trade’s institutional trading infrastructure. The integration allows eligible institutional users to move between supported stablecoins and Franklin Templeton tokenized money market fund exposure through a fully onchain execution experience.
The announcement should be read as an institutional access and workflow integration, not as a new fund launch. Franklin Templeton did not disclose trading volumes, conversion fees, supported stablecoin list, network-by-network settlement details or new fund terms in the release.
MoonPay Trade Becomes a Stablecoin-to-Fund Gateway
Franklin Templeton said the setup uses MoonPay Trade’s quote, routing, execution and network infrastructure to make its tokenized money market fund suite easier to use in institutional onchain workflows. For existing holders, the integration creates another path back into stablecoin liquidity, supporting treasury management, liquidity management, portfolio rebalancing and collateral-adjacent use cases.
MoonPay framed the deal as an expansion of MoonPay Trade beyond crypto, fiat and stablecoins. Franklin Templeton said adding BENJI to MoonPay Trade introduces a new use case at the intersection of stablecoins, tokenized funds and onchain capital markets, while MoonPay Institutional described the partnership as part of its liquidity and collateral-solutions push.
The Benji platform remains Franklin Templeton’s blockchain-enabled recordkeeping and transfer-agency infrastructure. Franklin Templeton said the platform supports tokenized investment products across retail and institutional channels, including the Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund, where one share is represented by one BENJI token.
Proof of Talk Adds Event Context, Not Product Terms
MoonPay also highlighted the partnership during Proof of Talk in Paris. MoonPay’s X post on June 2, 2026 said Caroline D. Pham and Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson shared the partnership news at the event, while a Proof of Talk post said the announcement was being discussed on stage.

That event context does not expand the operational scope of the integration. The confirmed product change remains the connection between MoonPay Trade and Franklin Templeton’s Benji platform, with access limited to eligible institutional users and no public data yet on usage, volume or settlement flow.
The clean editorial framing is narrow: Franklin Templeton has added a MoonPay Trade route between supported stablecoins and tokenized money market fund exposure. Broader claims about institutional adoption, liquidity depth or tokenized-fund market share will require follow-up data from Franklin Templeton, MoonPay or onchain settlement dashboards.
