Binance will remove 12 Bitcoin-denominated spot trading pairs on October 30 as part of its regular market review, including markets for Render, Aave, Cosmos and Bittensor. According to the exchange’s official announcement, trading in all 12 affected pairs will end at 03:00 UTC, while the underlying cryptocurrencies will remain available through other supported Binance Spot markets.
The affected markets are AAVE/BTC, ATOM/BTC, CAKE/BTC, DASH/BTC, ETC/BTC, ICP/BTC, PENDLE/BTC, RENDER/BTC, TAO/BTC, THETA/BTC, XAUT/BTC and XTZ/BTC. The change removes individual BTC order books rather than delisting AAVE, ATOM, RENDER or any of the other base assets from Binance. Users can continue trading the tokens through alternative quote currencies where corresponding markets remain available.
Binance Consolidates BTC-Denominated Liquidity
Binance said it periodically reviews spot trading pairs and may remove markets because of factors including poor liquidity and trading volume. The announcement does not specify which metric triggered the removal of each individual pair, so the decision should not be interpreted as evidence that every affected token has experienced the same deterioration in trading activity.
The distinction between removing a trading pair and eliminating an asset is significant. Binance’s earlier USDP delisting involved the broader withdrawal of Pax Dollar from spot trading and multiple other services, together with separate deposit and withdrawal deadlines. The October 30 action is considerably narrower because Binance is retaining the underlying assets while discontinuing one specific BTC-quoted market for each.
A similar liquidity-consolidation model has appeared at other centralized exchanges. Coinbase recently suspended eight individual trading pairs while keeping the underlying assets supported through other markets. Pair consolidation can concentrate trading activity into fewer order books without changing whether an exchange supports the cryptocurrency itself, making the scope of a delisting announcement important when assessing its impact.
Trading Bots End With the Spot Markets
Binance will also terminate Spot Trading Bots connected to the 12 affected pairs at 03:00 UTC on October 30. Users running bots on those markets need to update or cancel the relevant strategies before trading ends, because automated services tied specifically to the discontinued pairs will stop operating at the same cutoff.
The removals come while Binance continues expanding other parts of its spot catalogue. The exchange recently added five new bStock trading pairs on October 21, following another four bStock additions one week earlier. New listings and pair removals can therefore occur simultaneously as Binance reallocates market coverage across different products and quote assets.
The October 30 notice does not announce changes to standard deposits or withdrawals for AAVE, ATOM, CAKE, DASH, ETC, ICP, PENDLE, RENDER, TAO, THETA, XAUT or XTZ. The confirmed operational change is limited to the named BTC spot pairs and their associated Spot Trading Bots. For holders of the affected assets, continued Binance access will depend on the alternative spot markets available for each token after the BTC order books close.
