Ethena Brings USDe and sUSDe to TRON

Ethena Brings USDe and sUSDe to TRON

Ethena Labs has expanded USDe and sUSDe to the TRON network, giving users another blockchain for moving and holding its digital dollar products. USDe and its rewards-bearing sUSDe counterpart are now live on TRON through Stargate Finance, extending Ethena’s multichain footprint into one of the largest stablecoin settlement environments.

According to TRON DAO’s official announcement and a joint release from TRON DAO and Ethena Labs, users can bridge both assets to TRON and then hold or transfer them across the network. The launch materials describe Stargate as the cross-chain access route rather than announcing native USDe issuance directly on TRON.

Stargate Connects Ethena Liquidity to TRON

The deployment gives TRON users access to both Ethena products while keeping them connected to liquidity on other supported networks. USDe on TRON remains part of Ethena’s wider multichain liquidity environment, allowing the asset to move between ecosystems instead of becoming an isolated TRON-specific version. Support in JustLend DAO and SUN.io is expected to roll out over the coming weeks.

That distinction also matters for USDe’s issuance mechanics. The current TRON launch centers on bridging, holding and transferring existing USDe and sUSDe rather than establishing a separate TRON-based minting system. Ethena’s primary mint and redemption infrastructure remains tied to its controlled issuance process, while Stargate handles access to the newly supported network.

The expansion places Ethena inside a network already dominated by dollar-denominated assets. TRONSCAN currently shows roughly $94.26 billion of USDT circulating on TRON, alongside more than 404.5 million total accounts and over 15.5 billion cumulative transactions. Those figures establish the scale of TRON’s existing settlement infrastructure but do not indicate that the same users or liquidity will automatically migrate to USDe.

DeFi Integrations Are the Next Step

USDe itself has a circulating supply of approximately $4.73 billion, making the TRON deployment another distribution channel for an already substantial synthetic dollar. The immediate expansion path now depends on integrations with TRON-native lending, trading and payment applications, rather than the bridge launch alone.

JustLend DAO and SUN.io are expected to be among the first major TRON DeFi protocols to add support, with wallets, exchanges and payment applications potentially following. Those integrations would determine whether USDe and sUSDe develop meaningful liquidity and utility on TRON beyond cross-chain transfers, particularly in lending and yield-bearing applications.

The launch therefore broadens Ethena’s distribution without demonstrating sustained TRON-specific demand yet. The next meaningful indicators will be circulating USDe on TRON, DeFi liquidity and actual transaction activity after JustLend and SUN.io integrations go live, providing a clearer measure of whether the network becomes a significant venue for Ethena’s digital dollar products.
